Dawn C. Buckingham, M.D.
Dr. Buckingham, an Austin native and an Oculoplastic Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgeon who specializes in medical and surgical conditions of the lacrimal gland (tearing and dry eyes), nasolacrimal duct, conjunctiva, eyelids, eyebrows, eyelid skin cancer and rhytids (skin wrinkles). Within her practice, she evaluates and treats patients of all ages. Additionally, Dr. Buckingham accepts general ophthalmology patients and performs cataract surgery.
Dr. Buckingham holds leadership positions in her county, state and national medical associations, and is a course director at the American Academy of Ophthalmology annual meeting.
Dr. Buckingham is the president of the Texas Ophthalmological Association. She Serves the American Academy of Ophthalmology on the board of directors for OPHTHPAC. At the Texas Medical Association she is on the council on legislation and is a TEXPAC district chairwoman. For the Travis County Medical Society, she is the chairwoman of the bylaws committee. Dr. Buckingham participates in numerous charitable organizations and is often at the legislature to advocate on behalf of the patients of Texas.
